First Friend, Forever Friend

We shared secrets, school, college, and life,
Talking for hours, laughing bright.
You are older by just two years,
But to be honest, that never mattered.

We are always kids at heart,
And like a sister, you’ve always been.
Years may pass, but our bond stays strong,
Like a favorite tune, a lifelong song.

Forever friends, just you and me,
In this home where our hearts feel free.
Our memories will never fade,
In the place where they were made.

You will always be the mischievous one,
And I will be your partner in fun.
Let’s go on adventures, big and small,
And make the best memories of all.

Missing Holi

 Colors fly, people cheer,

Laughter rings, everyone's spirit is high. 

Friends are playing,

But I sit with books and me. 

Water splashes, bright and loud,

Music plays and everyone's happy. 

Though I am missing all the fun, I must study, I can't run,

Exams are here. 

One day soon, when work is done,

I will join the dance and fun. 

Holi will come again next year, and I will play for sure. 

For now, I learn and let it be, dreaming of colors waiting for me.
