Priceless Things

Money can buy you a delicious meal,
But not a friend to hold your hand.
It buys a watch with diamond faces,
But not the time for life's embraces.
It buys new clothes and fancy shoes,
But not the strength to never lose.
The best of things are bought by love, not by money.

An Act of Love

People we love, near and dear, bring us joy and dry our tears.
Family, friends, and loved ones too, make us happy, through and through.
With them, we laugh, with them, we cry, they help us soar and reach great heights.
A smile, a hug, a gentle touch and a kind word or gesture can mean so very much.
Listen close and always care, love and kindness, freely share.
In hearts where love does stay, brightens every single day.
Hold them close, keep them near, show them love and care.
Cherish friends and family too, they will always be there for you.
Your small act of kindness has the ability to brighten someone's day out there and eventually there will be smiles everywhere.

Girlfriends Forever

With hearts so true and pure ,
Through life’s journey side by side ,
Girlfriends  we will always stay .
In every smile and every tear ,
Our bond grows stronger as time passes by .
In each other’s hearts we will always stay , always encouraging and supporting each other - girlfriends forever come what may !
A special mention to all my girl friends , loads of love ❤ and a heartfelt thank you.
The beauty and power of female friendship is a garden of hearts intertwined; its power , the resilient roots that deepen with every shared moment .

Unwritten Tomorrows

Feel the wind, look at the sky,

See the clouds go drifting by.

Hear the birds chirping,

Enjoy the joy that now can bring.

Sit with friends, laugh out loud,

Say kind words, be gentle, be proud.

Take a photo, make a wish,

Moments like this are pure and rich.

We don’t know what’s next or when,

If today will come again.

So, live it to the fullest, come what may —

The best time is today.

The Brother Life Gave Unexpectedly

Sometimes life surprises in quiet ways.
People come into your world through someone else, and before you know it, they have become a part of your heart. A presence so steady, so comforting, that it feels like they have always been there.
A brother never expected but always needed shows up like that. He notices the small things — the worried look, the hesitation before a decision — and quietly makes them easier to bear.
He cheers for the little wins and makes even ordinary days feel safe.
There are memories that linger softly — sharing a laugh over a silly joke, walking together through rain or sunshine, sipping tea while talking about nothing, late-night messages that quietly say, “I am here.” Every gesture, every word, every glance carries care, encouragement, and warmth.
This bond does not need constant calls or proof. It exists in small moments that matter the most — the hand that reaches out, the advice given gently, the support that never asks for thanks.
Even if life pulls people apart, even if days go by without a word, this bond remains steady and unshakable.
A brother never expected but always needed is a calm in chaos, a shield in fear, a voice that reminds you to keep going.
He becomes home in a way that blood alone cannot give.
Some people are chosen by life itself to be family. And having a brother like that — someone who protects, encourages, and cares so deeply — is one of the quietest, most precious miracles life can give.

Grateful

Be thankful for the shelter you have as it’s an unaffordable luxury for many.
As humans, we tend to take many things for granted, we cry for things we don’t have and don’t notice the little things. So, it’s time now to stop and look around you.
I am grateful for water to drink, food to eat, clothes to wear, electricity, telecommunications, sunshine, rain, family and friends, eyes to see, ears to hear, legs to walk, hands to write.
Overall, I am thankful for everything I have right now.
It’s your turn to open your eyes and see everything around you.

A Year Without You

How did one whole year just slip away,

when every moment without you feels like yesterday?

How could you leave so suddenly, nunnamma,

when your presence was the thread that held us together?

I still cannot believe you are not here, nunnamma.

Your thoughts, your voice, your smile,

they keep coming back to me every single day.

This house does not feel the same anymore.

Every corner reminds me of you.

Me, Amma, Appa  and everyone around keep talking about you and how rare of a person you were,

but no matter how much we do, the pain does not go , we just miss you even more.

We miss your tantrums so much — unexplainably so.

We scolded you for them when you were here,

but now all we wish is to hear your voice once more,

to see you talk and do those little tantrums again.

I feel like crying endlessly,

but I just hold it inside my heart.

It hurts so much that you are not here with us.

One year feels like a lifetime,

and at the same time it feels like just yesterday.

You were the love and warmth in this house.

Without you, something is missing forever.

I know you are gone,

but I also know you live with us in memories,

in the love you gave,

in the way you cared for us.

And nunnamma, I need you to know this —

if life gives me a choice again and again,

I would choose you to be my grandmother,

over and over, every single time.

Nunnamma, you are still with us,

just in a different way now.

We love you, we miss you so much,

and we will carry you in our hearts always.
